Nordland LP in two different versions

The Nordland LP is released in two individually designed versions. Both LP versions are limited to 100 copies each and printed on heavy, matt varnished cardboard with printed and individually numbered LP-sized insert and brown poly-lined innersleeve. The music was remastered for this vinyl release and is the same on both designs.

The two versions differ in the cover design and the vinyl colour:

First we have the iconic design from the year 2000 that was adapted for this LP version. It shows the full beauty of the original artwork designed by my friend Ingo of @spielsinn.design. The LP is made of translucent yellow/black marbeled vinyl.

The second cover artwork was done by myself recently to open a new lifecycle for Nordland. The Elhaz stick you see on the frontcover is the very same stick that casted the shadow on the 2000 cover... This LP is made of clear/black marbeled vinyl.

We offer a limited amount of this already very limited release as a special "collector's bundle". This includes both LP versions and a signed CD of the 2011 remaster with bonustrack. So you get all three different Nordland artworks at the same time.

You are welcome to place your order at the Apoptose Bandcamp shop.

Even overseas shipping is possible again although it may take some weeks until the parcel reaches you by seaway.

Bannwald LP available from July 3, 2020

Ten years after its first appearance the Bannwald album is still going strong. To celebrate the jubilee Tesco and Apoptose release it for the first time on LP: the spotvarnished gatefold cover gives the iconic artwork a new an exceptional appearance. The 300 LPs are pressed on brown-smoked vinyl.

Look out for a special edition with exclusive insert (lim. 49 copies) only available at the Apoptose Bandcamp shop.

The "forgotten twin" of Schattenmädchen

This digital only album collects the original - sometimes more minimalistic and hard to find - compilation tracks that were the basis of Schattenmädchen in 2007. This collection features also different versions of the exclusive Schattenmädchen album tracks.

Brandnew and only here you find "Als es vor 49 Tagen begann", a coronaviral edit of "Karla". In 2007 Karla delivered a poetic case history of a girl suffering a mysterious viral infection. This is the 2020 update in the shadow of the worldwide Coronavirus crises.

You can download the album on Bandcamp.

Two track collaboration with Mosaic

During 2019 Apoptose collaborated on two massive tracks of the album "Secret Ambrosian Fire" by our Thuringian friends MOSAIC. The tracks produced by Apoptose are called Ambrosia XIX and Im Kohlensud. The latter mostly consist of sounds of Apoptose's Bannwald album. The album is out now on Eisenwald Records as LP, CD and MC. And of course on the usual streaming services. Check it out.

October/November 2018: new album

"Die Zukunft" (the future) is Apoptose's sixth album. Release date is October 31, 2018 on Tesco Organisation.

In the four years of production Apoptose selected a wide range of different singers for this album. Most outstanding is classical trained tenor Daniel Sans. Other voices on "Die Zukunft" include the gloomy spoken words of the advance single "Time-lapse City", the lost girl's voice on the title track and two female singers on "Dornen".

Consistent with the album title Apoptose does not look back, but is heading for novel territories within the dark ambient music genre. Expect super dark electronics with slow motion rhythms.

October 2016: Schattenmädchen.7i7A

"Where Words Fail, Music Speaks" is the title of a huge online compilation of ambient and neofolk music. Apoptose takes part with a new version of Schattenmädchen. This is not just a simple remix - it is a whole new take on this track from the 2007 album of the same title. Check it out on bandcamp!

62 bands and artists take part in this compilation. All proceeds go to Ania Mehring who was diagnosed with Sarcoma Synoviale, an exceptionally malignant tumor. The treatment is expensive and money is needed like never before. You find more info on that here: www.facebook.com/events/1740948189513336
